No, nothing at all. It appears as though I could even log in with the last users Password, at least the harddrive activity looks like that is successful but that doesn’t help me, screen stays black. For instance a way to reset display adapter to default as in the default after Windows installation etc.

SafeMode should do this. But why do we get black screen in safe mode? This means someone somewhere in MS screw up. Anyway I’ve been having the very similar problem everytime I upgraded it from v to the Creators Update v17xx. In my case though, the Windows was showing blank screen with idle mouse cursor. Pressing CtrlAltDelete to bring up the task manager caused it to show loading animation. My SSD showed subtle activity.
